As you know, the 2023 8th World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery is also the 8th Scientific Meeting of World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (WSPCHS).
A hightlight of every scientific meeting are the lectures from preeminently surgeons from around the world.
Sixteen Plenary Session Landmark Lectures will take place in the mornings on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 AM-9:15 AMET. Three Landmark Lectures will be presented by surgeons.

On Monday, August 28, 2023 from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM, the Eighth Aldo R. Castañeda Lecture of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery will be presented by Joseph Dearani, MD (United States of America) titled Chasing Excellence - Peak Performance of Quarterbacks, Pilots and Surgeons.
Surgical Landmark Lecture
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 08:30-08:50, a Surgical Landmark Lecture will be presented by Bohdan Maruszewski, MD (Poland) titled: The Great Orchestra of the Christmas Charity Fund. Thirty years of Saving Children’s Lives in Poland.
Adib D. Jatene Lecture
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 13:55-14:30, the Fifth Adib D. Jatene Lecture of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery will be presented by Ignacio Juaneda, MD (Argentina) for Guillermo (Billy) Kreutzer, MD (Argentina) and Christian Kreutzer, MD (Argentina).
Stella & Richard Van Praagh Lectures
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 14:40-15:15, the Eighth Stella & Richard Van Praagh Lecture of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery will be presented by Marie Béland, MD (Canada).
Surgical Landmark Lecture
On Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 08:55-09:15, a Surgical Landmark Lecture will be presented by Nestor Sandoval, MD (Colombia) titled: Weaving Healthcare for the Forgotten Ones in Macondo.
