As you know, the 2023 8th World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery is also the 8th Scientific Meeting of World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (WSPCHS).
A highlight of every scientific meeting of the WSPCHS is the Aldo R. Castañeda Lecture.
At the 2023 World Congress, the Landmark Lecture by Joe Dearani on Monday morning August 28, 2023 will be the 8th Aldo R. Castañeda Lecture of World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery.

The publication of this issue of the World Journal for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery, volume 14, No. 4, marks another milestone for the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery, and its official publication, the World Journal for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (WJPCHS). In this issue, we welcome our colleagues from the African Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (Figure 1).
