Dr. Williams studied medicine at the University of North Carolina. She served as director of the echocardiography laboratory and medical director of the cardiothoracic intensive care service at Boston Children’s Hospital. She went on to become chief of pediatric cardiology at UCLA. In 1995, she became chair of pediatrics at the University of North Carolina, returning to Los Angeles to join USC in 2000. She currently is a specialist in pediatric cardiology at the USC Keck School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
