Dr. Carl Lewis Backer
We proudly announce the selection of Carl Lewis Backer as the new Editor-in-Chief of the World Journal for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery. Carl has extensive experience in publishing, including several textbooks. He has served as an Associate Editor of the World Journal.
We have no doubt that Carl will follow with success in the footsteps of the Founding Editor, Marshall L. Jacobs, to whom we are eternally grateful.
We would like to thank the 15 members of the Editor Search Committee, representing all continents and our sister organizations, CHSS and ECHSA, for their active participation in this most important decision.
The World Journal has become a high quality and essential educational tool in the globalization of our specialty. The World Journal is the only journal exclusively dedicated to congenital heart surgery and is now among the finest cardiac surgery journals.
